Established to honor Julia Nora Vatter (1991-2009), a young woman who left an indelible mark on Bay Street Players, this fund recognizes her love of the technical aspects of theatre and expressly supports the theatre’s ongoing technical needs—often the most costly operational expenses.

Julia Nora Vatter’s passion was the theatre. When Julia was nine years old she joined the Bay Street Players’ Young People’s Theatre. She was extremely active in main stage productions from fourth grade through her graduation from Eustis High School in 2009. Even at her young age, Julia proved to be integral part of the theatre’s production teams.

Julia was the recipient of multiple BSP volunteer and academic awards over the years, and the annual Julia Nora Vatter Technical Theatre Award has also been established to recognize those in our organization who demonstrate excellence in the field.
