We are proud to provide a creative outlet to students who have limited access to the arts by affording them the opportunity to learn in a live production environment. In class, students learn proper acting styles, techniques, and character development on their way to a weekend of public performances complete with costumes, props, sets, and light and sound elements—just as they would be in our Main Stage Series. Classes are regularly visited by experts from the Central Florida theatre community for master classes in a range of theatrical techniques.
Young People’s Theatre students are encouraged to use skills developed in class and continue learning by participating in our Main Stage Series, both on and offstage
FALL 2024 SESSIONS:
This fall’s YPT Play (7-12) Camp production will be The Surprising Story of the Three Little Pigs! Three classic fairy tales – The Three Little Pigs & The Three Billy Goats Gruff & Goldilocks and the Three Bears – begin in their usual “once upon a time” fashion. However, this time things change on the way to “happily ever after” as the pigs wonder what life would be like if the wolf were not always at their door, the billy goats gruff decide they can’t face another trip-trap over the troll’s bridge, and Papa Bear has had enough of the meddlesome little Goldilocks!
Performances of The Surprising Story of the Three Little Pigs will be held at the State Theatre from December 6-8, 2024 (see our website for times, ticket pricing, and availability).

This fall’s YPTeen Play (13-18) Camp production will be Little Women! This full-length version of Little Women is loved by directors everywhere and has had hundreds of successful productions. The play begins that memorable Christmas when Marmee leaves to visit her sick husband and Jo sells her beautiful hair to help finance the trip. It ends just a year later when the happy family is again preparing to celebrate not only Christmas but also the return of Mr. March. In between these two events, we again live, laugh, love and cry with Meg, Jo, Amy and Beth as they go through the many trials and tribulations that have made this story a classic.
Performances of Little Women will be held at the State Theatre from December 13-15, 2024 (see our website for times, ticket pricing, and availability).
